When a newbie wants to start a website, it becomes a concern for him to install WordPress on the purchased web server. In this tutorial, you will learn how to install WordPress using GoDaddy cPanel. And this cPanel is a Linux based web hosting service which helps you to install WordPress within few seconds.
I assume that you’ve already purchased a domain and hosting with cPanel. So, let’s start making a new website. It doesn’t matter, from where you’ve purchased the hosting. Most of the cPanel features are almost same. Here I am using GoDaddy’s cPanel. If you have purchased hosting from Hostgator, Bluehost then there might be slight changes, that doesn’t matter. Just look for the same options.
Install WordPress Using GoDaddy’s cPanel
At the first step, just login to your GoDaddy’s cPanel.
Look for the Web Applications section. Here, you’ll find the WordPress option. Click on WordPress option.
On the next page click on Install this application button.
First, in the Location section, be sure the domain you want to install WordPress on appears in the Domain field is same or not. If you want to use WordPress as the website for the domain you’ve selected, just leave the Directory field empty.
Finally, in the Settings section, you see that an Administrator Username and Administrator Password are automatically generated. Just note them or change them to something you can remember.
When all the fields and options are completed, click on the Install button.
